Exuberance

There's something about turquoise. Perhaps we're biased, but we think (other than red) that the blue, blue green and greyish turquoise is the best color to combat the dullest days. Exuberance is a turquoise color. See if you agree.

Blue Wildflower baby blanket by Ella Jean Handmade Baby Gifts. Is it weird that we want one for ourselves?

Turquoise snuggly neckwarmer by Tiny Minds. See how happy the model looks? And warm, too.

Sky Saw by Golden Stiletto. Clean, crisp and chipper, like a strip of sky.

Ocean wave Organic long sleeves T-shirt with hoodie by Ballila. Adorable design and color combo for your cutie.

Twiggy Card Case by Holly Hawk. Pretty design and handy access to cards. Win win.

Aster 3x3 Tile by Gretchen Kramp. So vibrant and happy looking.

Tumbled Turquoise Rock Soap by Amethyst Soap. This is beautiful. It's soap. We marvel.

Sure, it's raining outside. But we're feeling sunny and clear skied. And that's all that matters!

Evocative

We recently discovered Optic Waste on Etsy. There's something about the art by l.e. lake; nostalgic, moody, otherworldly--all words that describe but fail to capture the beauty of each piece available in the store. Here are some that illustrate our point.

Winter Pine--the image first caught our attention. Whispers of a memory or a long forgotten wish.

Fallow Fields. We want to run through these flowers. Wanna come?

Vigilant Oak. Some how this is celebratory, rather than melancholic. Well done.

Cecil the beetle. He comes with the following story attached: A familiar of the late esteemed witch, Augusta Swampwater. Cecil's abilities are dung-gathering and competitive semaphore. This story sends us.

Check out Optic Waste for yourself! You won't be disappointed, and if you stuff one in our stocking, neither will we!

Frost bitten beauty

The cool, crisp, late Autumnal season always invokes a certain mood for us--a craving for the ethereal, intricate, and ornamental. For subtle details that exude femininity in a delicate, misty manner; grace in vapored layers. Below are some items that capture the early winter feeling we pine for all year long.

Rococo Gown by Kate Towers. Beautiful, enchanting, spellbinding. We want to play hide and seek in a castle on Christmas Eve wearing this.

Smoky Pewter ethereal wrap by Bonzie. We love the misty layers, the cloudy coloring, and the feeling of lightheaded giddiness we get just looking at it.

Shrug clutch by the laughing mouse. Ruching in rich chocolate and robin blue with golden damask? Wait, we just fainted. Modern, meet rococo. Heart, meet palpitation.

Ethereal and Robins Egg Blue Wild Flower bobby pin set by You are my Sunshine. We want to pin three in our hair and dance in the woods. Or perhaps stop traffic at the local coffee shop.

Searching by Cindy G. Cindy G's artwork has that ethereal glamour that knocks us out. We would like to live in her world and drink champagne and loveliness all day.

We felt indulgent just looking at these items! We hope you have a fabulous, if not refreshingly brisk day ;)

Wicked

Gregory Mcguire's Wicked is one of our favorite books, and the flinty, complex and thwarted Elphaba is one of our favorite heroines. In honor of our annual re-reading, we've selected some delectable witchy items for your viewing pleasure.

Emerald City by Starhorse 7.

Grimmerie by Pangaea Designs.

Emerald City Empress ring by Jessi Taylor.

Wizard Of Oz Wicked Witch Handbag by Trixie's Treasures

And finally, lovely witch boots available at Hemlock Vintage

Spoil your favorite Wicked fan with something inspired. And if you haven't yet, read the book...you just might get hooked!

Welcome to Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks. A land where the coffee is often awesome (except when a fish gets in the percolator), the cherry pie is to die for, and where it's ok to carry a pet log with you wherever you go. If you're a fan of Twin Peaks or currently uninitiated, these items are approved by us for you.

The owls are not what they seem shirt by Branded. We love the deranged look the owl has in his eyes.

'The log lady' by seasprayblue. She's just one of the many hilarious and memorable characters on the show.

Twin Peaks Mania buttons by Man Handled. We especially love the Special Agent Dale Cooper buttons. Swoon.

Audrey Corne Meal card by Rakkadeer. Beautiful. Saucy. Yellow. The Audrey Horne lover's card. That's us.

And finally, The Laura Poems by Blood Pudding Press.

Dust off your Twin Peaks discs or VHS and get watching...if you've never seen it, rent it on Netflix, buy it used on Ebay, or get it on sale at Amazon. Just get watching and find out what the fuss is about. Thank us later with a slice of pie!
